Originally launched in 1978, this Custom Steve Seaton designed Trawler was purpose built to cruise far and wide with all the comforts of home. Built by Hidden Harbor in Sarasota Florida, Single Star has sent many years cruising in Kodiak, AK as a small passenger charter vessel. She just received a new paint job top to bottom in 2025 with maintenance completed, turn key and ready for the next cruising season!
The hull is overbuilt for expedition cruising with a hull thickness of 3" from Keel to waterline. This vessel has been meticulously cared for and maintained, which shows as you step on board! She has done 2 trans-Atlantic crossings and several Kodiak, AK to Washington passages. She is a proven seaworthy vessel that can maintain speed in up to 8' seas!

Single Star underwent and extensive yard period from 2002-2005 in Port Townsend, WA. where she received MANY upgrades including:
Salon
The inviting Salon is on the main deck with walk arounds on each side.
A sitting area is to port, with U-shaped settee and table. off to the starboard side in beatufiul wood cabinetry you will find a full washer and dry set.
Galley
The well equipped Galley is located amidships, on the main deck, forward of the salon and dining area off to the port side. Next the galley to starboard you will find 2 large floor to ceiling pantry storage lockers with abundant space for extended cruising.

Primary Stateroom
The Primary Stateroom is accessed by a set of stairs aft of the salon. The expansive cabin has 2 queen sized berths with a large set of dresser storage centerline and a large hanging locker. The cabin includes a spacious en suite head with an enclosed shower and electric fresh water head.
Guest Accommodations
From the galley centerline, you can access the guest accommodations which consists of 2 identical bunks rooms with a shared ensuite head all the way forward including an inclosed shower.
The last on deck stateroom is complete with 2 single berths, an upper and lower bunk. Perfect for crew or kids! Complete with an en suite head and shower.
Bridge
The exceptionally laid out pilothouse is complete with a 5 section reverse raked tempered glass windshield, weathertight heavy duty port and starboard doors, a lovely raised settee and table on the port side with an aft captain's berth as well as a thoughtfully laid out dash. The two wing doors provide easy deck access and cross ventilation when needed.
Single Star's flybridge is equipped with a centerline helm, electronics and an expansive boat deck.

Engine Room
The well appointed Engine Room is located aft of the forward guest cabins. The engine room boasts ample room to preform maintenance on all systems.
Single Star's power is provided by a highly dependable single 275hp Caterpillar 3406 engine. This expedition trawler has 2 generators and is designed to run comfortably at about 7 knots with a max speed of 10 knots.
She will run at 7-7.5 knots burning 6 gallons an hour at 1350 rpm.
